On Thursday, the UNESCO (United Nations Scientific and Cultural Organisation) group at Selwyn House visited St James School to video them getting ready for the Ellerslie Flower Show. They also do the UNESCO programme. They welcomed us with traditional Samoan song and dance. Two kids, Cecily and Preston are competing in the Kids Can Cook competition and sampled their delicious “lettuce wraps” on us so that we could give them some feedback on it. We all loved their scrumptious creations!
We then interviewed some students about the Ellerslie Flower Show and they seem very excited about it. They were all very involved and some of them built a water feature! Come visit them on the weekend of the 29th-30th and support them!
